Description:	*Please note that the venue has changed and the concert will now take place at St. George's Bloomsbury* Our former director of music, Shea Lolin is rehearsing and conducting our November 2026 concert. Stephen Chadwick, one of our tenor saxophonists, has composed a major new piece for the concert: Midnight Ocean. The concert will also feature new arrangements for BWE so that our audience will be invited to step into the shadows during an evocative programme exploring folklore, darkness and imagination after dark. From the gothic drama of Marschner’s Overture to Der Vampyr to the haunting introspection of Lili Boulanger’s D’un Soir Triste, the concert will weaves atmosphere and emotion throughout. Grieg’s unforgettable Peer Gynt scenes will summon trolls, pursuit and profound loss, while the epic worlds of modern storytelling will be brought to life in Hans Zimmer’s Interstellar Suite. The programme will also include Mozart’s electrifying Don Giovanni Overture, together with by Svendsen’s noble Andante Funèbre.
